Motivation to Encourage Weight Loss
No one wants to be overweight. That’s the truth. Many have said they wish they had some weight loss motivation. With that being the case, there are many who try to encourage people to slim down. Even businesses are trying to help. When they do this, at the same time, they are also going about and helping themselves as well. So what are they doing to motivate people
Those of you who have a sweet tooth might be finding a huge way that they are trying to motivate you. Soon, the things that have way more sugar in them which we really enjoy will be taxed. It’s already taxed when you buy from the store, but now they will add extra text to it. How’s that for motivation? Those soft drinks might not be as popular as they once were when this tax starts kicking in. That’s for sure. People might be thinking twice when they go on a snack run.
There are many who are trying to get people to get up and get moving, but their favorite past time involves the good old television. With that being said, there are some television stations that normally cater to children who every so once in a while will go about and shut their station off to help encourage children and family to get moving and do something else. Now if this doesn’t lead to them being an active family then I’m not sure how else they will lose weight! Mind you if they are a really stubborn family then they will probably just switch to another station.
There are still more ways to go about and encourage people. One of those is that many restaurants are slimming down on what they serve or rather how much they serve. Have you noticed that there are some places where you like to go to eat that have actually skimped on the sizes of their plates? Well, you wouldn’t be mistaken.
Air lines have decided that it’s not fair that all their seats are being taken up because people can’t fit in the small seats. Therefore, they need two seats. That is why their motivation to get people to lose weight comes in the form of actually charging obese people for two seats. How fair is that? They say quite fair for how much they have to give up.
Last, but not least, there are many kid shows that are actually taking a healthier approach. They say if you can teach the kids what parents haven’t taught, then you might make progress that way. Even some restaurants have changed their spokespeople. What used to be the Cookie Monster is now referred to as the Veggie Monster. Ronald McDonald will be going away as well all to promote healthy eating. What next?
One should never know. They are doing all they can. What started with health insurance companies charging double to cover obese people is now creating a wave of people who say enough is enough. Yet, how much are they willing to risk and lose? That’s for them to say but for those who are overweight to learn. Have we started a trend that this nation needs to be ready for? It’s time to shape up America and this is one way that they are trying to get you to do so.
